Monsters. Bright colours. Funky tunes. Some crazy dance moves. What more could an animator want in life?
With the help of Duik (we think it’s pronounced Dew – Ick), the truly spectacular – and free – reverse kinematics plugin for After Effects, we were able to bring our furry (and some not-so furry) characters to life. With a few minutes of rigging and positioning of limbs, we had ourselves some monsters ready for just about anything. Hopefully our little demonstration below gives you some idea about what we’re on about.
The whole thing was great fun to animate. Probably not as much fun as those monsters were having though.
It was a great night at this year’s MM&M Awards and our furry friends certainly charmed the crowd with their performance.
